Held in Memorial Park just steps from historic Ladner Village, the Ladner Pioneer May Days Fair (est. 1896) is one of British Columbia's largest free family fairs. Featuring live bands, free entertainment, carnival rides and a beer garden for the adults, the Ladner May Days Fair offers a wide variety of entertainment and activities.
Roadside Attraction was formed in 2017 with the goal of bringing the energy and music of The Hip to pubs and clubs near you. The members of Roadside Attraction are all seasoned musicians that have played in the live music circuit for years. With diverse musical histories ranging from AC\DC tribute acts to New Country and Top 40, they’ve done it all and now want to share their love of The Hip with you.
Weekend of Fun in Ladner
The festivities begin on Friday evening with discounted midway rides for kids.
On Saturday the day is filled with a broad range of top notch family entertainers and many free activities and entertainment for children. When it's time to eat, guests will find the food fair area offers a broad range of food and picnic tables with a great view of the baseball tournament.
The Sunday activities kick-off with a pancake breakfast followed at noon by the May Days Parade featuring the May Royal Court float. The parade culminates at the stage in Memorial Park where the traditional May Pole Dance and May Royal Crowning Ceremony take place.
The remainder of the fair is filled with live music, entertainers and a May Days Market for
mom and dad.
Ladner May Days Invitational Fast-pitch Tournament
The Ladner May Days Invitational Fast-pitch Tournament has been at the center of the Ladner May Days celebration going back to the days when wheelbarrow races and arm wrestling were part of weekend.
This year teams from Richmond, Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Vancouver and Gibsons will join the host team Ladner Masters and compete for the title and prize money.
The tournament begins Friday evening with a 7pm game and runs through Saturday (8am-6pm) and Sunday (8am-3pm) with the final set for 3pm.
Fans can expect some great fast-pitch action from the 8 competitive teams.
